Under the patronage of the late Royal Highness Princess Srinakarindra, through the Doi Tung Development Project under Royal Initiative, development and environmental activities of Doi Tung Royal Villa and Mae Fah Luang Garden are carry out to improve the livelihood and quality of life for the local hill tribes in Doi Tung and allow them to live in harmony with nature.
Subsequently, Mae Fah Luang Garden, right beside Doi Tung Royal Villa was completed.
All the flowers and plants on Mae Fah Luang Garden are grown and nurtured by the local villagers. Mae Fah Luang Garden had also won the Pacific Asia Tourism Association (PATA) Award for Tourist Site Development in 1993. Today, Mae Fah Luang Garden exquisite landscaping garden brings substantial income to Doi Tung and provide job opportunities for the locals as a tourist destination(Doi Tung Royal Villa).
Going up to Doi Tung Royal Villa, the residence of the Princess Mother Srinakarindra. This beautiful villa is constructed in lanna swiss design architecture with a mixture of concrete and different wood slabs. Doi Tung Royal Villa interior design exudes graceful, elegance, minimalist and functionality.
The Doi Tung Royal Villa has a large terrace balcony overlooking the Mae Fah Luang Garden and a exterior garden for nearby magnificent mountain views.
Visitors to Doi Tung can experience the mother nature beauty and appreciate the efforts of the local villagers of Doi Tung.

Try to arrive as early as possible, if you want to beat the crowds. Come during the cool season, between November and January, you could experience 15 degrees Celsius temperature coupled with all the greeny lush, evergreen forest and tender flora.
