Here are the 3 tips that you should know.
Tip 1: Where to find Motorcycle Taxis in Bangkok
Every main street will have like a little base of drivers that work from that spot always. This makes sure that the drivers know the surrounding areas really well. Motorcycle Taxis are best going a short distance around the neighbourhood. Just go up to one of these stands and even if you can’t speak Thai, just indicate that you would like a ride with your hand and simply tell them your desired destination or the direction you are heading to. Hop on and enjoy the ride!

Tip 2: Agree on the fares before getting in
For trips of about 5 minutes, usually you will pay about 20 – 40 baht. 10 minutes & above, 50 – 60 baht. I recommend that you have the exact amount of Baht with you. I met some of the motorcycle taxis that don’t return change 🙁
Tip 3: How to Ride Motorcycle Taxis
I recommend you hold on tight if you aren’t used to riding a motorbike. Basically girls if you are in a skirt you need to do as locals do and sit ‘side saddle’ while holding on to the back of the bike with one hand.
But if you have pants on, feel free to ride the motorcycle taxis normally behind the driver but still hold on to the back of the bike.
If you really need to be somewhere in a hurry, then a motorcycle taxi is the best way to go. Just remember to be safe and request a helmet.
