Tald Rot Fai

Talad Rot Fai  (Train Market) in Bangkok attracts people from all age groups. Talad Rot Fai is a popular hangout area for friends and families. Talad Rot Fai held lots of local vendors selling incredible cheap and unique item from vintage collectibles, antique furniture to hippy fashion, great second hand item and Mao kitsch. Combine all this with cool restaurants, bars and snack stalls and you have a fun night out from sunset to midnight at Talad Rot Fai.

Talad Rot Fai SrinakarinTalad Rot Fai Srinakarin

Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin is separated into 3 main zones namely, ‘Market Zone’, ‘Warehouse Zone’ and ‘Rod’s Antiques’. This place is huge, i spent hours walking around with occasional food pit stops. If you like retro, vintage items and antiques, you will definitely love this place. While shopping is the main highlight in Talad Rot Fai, don’t miss out on the street food here too. Each vendor has various design gimmicks – from classic Volkswagen campers to old train bogies – to attract potential diners. It’s definitely worth the trip out of the city centre to experience this alternative taste of Bangkok.

Talad Rot Fai RatchadaTalad Rot Fai Ratchada

Talad Rot Fai Ratchada is smaller as compared to Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin branch. Although it is smaller, the good part is its location. Located in the city and is accessible via MRT, makes this place popular with locals and tourists. You won’t be able to see many retro and vintage items, but you will be still be overwhelmed by the food stalls and the flea market. Look at the mouth-watering Pad Thai which i order below from 1 of the stalls! After much shopping, you could sit in 1 of the cool bars. Enjoy the beer & immerse yourself in the music.

Talad Rot Fai Kaset NawaminTalad Rot Fai Kaset Nawamin

Talad Rot Fai Kaset Nawamin is the newest & latest of the Talad Rot Fai family. It boasts a slightly different and far more ambitious concept – planning to be transformed into a 1950s-themed town, complete with its own imitation train station, and shops occupying carriages. The walking area is much bigger and lots of unique stalls. You can even find a 1950s vintage car section to satisfy all your photo vanity. As this place is new & located at the outskirts of the city, i only see mostly locals swarming in this Talad Rot Fai.
