Bangkok’s night market open your wallet to a whole new set of retail delights under the moonlight. With everything from clothes to food, they offer a great shopping atmosphere and also a good way to escape from the heat of the daytime. Here are my picks of the top 8 night market in Bangkok.
1. Siam Gypsy Junction Night Market
Siam Gypsy Junction Night Market is the new kid in town. You can find furniture, crockery, music posters, second-hand clothes and all sorts of unusual stuff which you definitely don’t need but most certainly do want. There is plenty of food and drink over here, from roving or stationary street carts to shops. This night market is actually quite bizarre and unexplained, with a wild west cowboy theme to it. There is an area halfway along the walkway decked out with bales of hay to create a seating area. Pretty cool.

Address: Bangkok – Nonthaburi road between Soi 27 and 29. At Bang son railway station.
How to go: Take a cab or Bus 97 from Bang Sue MRT station
2. Asiatique Night Market
Asiatique Night Market has got a good river front view filled with lots of restaurants and fashion boutiques, entertainments such as ferry’s wheels and go kart for kids. Enjoy the breeze and just chill around. There are shops selling local products with wide variety of arts and crafts. Halal food is easy to find too, for our Muslim readers. Asiatique offers a great spread of varieties but it’s on the slightly more pricey side.

Talad Rod Fai Night Market (Ratchada) is situated at Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station behind Esplanade Mall. Very very convenient location which made this night market, popular among tourists and locals. They have lots of chic little bars situated behind the market for drinkers. Lots of live bands and Cafes await you at the entrance as you move in under well streamlined zinc roof shops. Majority of items are sold at 100 Bahts from clothes to boxer shorts. After a tired spree you could grab a bite from the various food stalls and finger bites ranging from 20-40 baht with different variety of drinks.

Jatujak Green Night Market is just located behind Jatujak Park. There are lots of new and 2nd hand shoes and clothes, bags, toys, jewellery, make up etc. You could also find a handful of vintage shops, art and handicraft. This is the haven for collectors. 6. Victory Monument Night Market
Victory Monument is a major traffic hub with lots of Bangkok buses, minivans serving the outskirts of the city and Ayutthaya or Saraburi. Its also for people connecting between buses, and with the BTS skytrain. Alot of locals frequent this night market. Prices over here are much cheaper too, comparing to some other places. There is this super good Thai Boat Noodles over here too, tucked away in the corner near a canal. Lots of choices for pharmacies.

7. Ramkhamhaeng Night Market
Ramkhamhaeng Night Market sits beside the busy main road so you can easily get taxi. This place is full of locals, mainly young university students. Get everything in local price 🙂 You hardly find tourists over here. One of my favourite night market which I will go every time. Strongly recommended !

Address: Ramkhamhaeng Road
How to go: Take a Cab from Airport Rail Link Ramkamhaeng Station, tell the driver to stop at The Mall Ramkamhaeng. About 50baht ride.
8. ArtBox Night Market
ArtBox Night Market is different from the typical Bangkok night markets. Stores are setup from metal containers and were selling unique items which are mostly not found at the other markets. This place is mostly run by young entrepreneurs, with about 60% of the stores selling food. The food items are more “hipster”-type too, so you can expect large colourful drinks served with dry ice. Prices are also higher to match the ambience/vibe.
